Rid Your Vocabulary Of Retarded

Youth Leadership Council member Nicole Zakheim created this video. She states: My school has had a lot of politically incorrect words banned, but we hadn't covered one that affects a lot of students, including myself. Retarded. I was hearing it way to much in the hallways, and it didn't make sense to me that the same kids who had banned words like "gay" from their vocabulary weren't stopping and thinking about "retarded". Giving a negative connotation to a word that applies to so many people is ignorant and I wanted to make sure that people were aware of what their words meant. I wrote, shot and edited this at my school. The people in the PSA are all students at my school, who all object to the wrong usage of "retarded."
