Tiara Epps
My name is Tiara Epps. I attend the Illinois Institute of Art majoring in film & video production. I was born and raised in the Englewood community on the south side of Chicago.
Accomplishments
Tiara made the honor roll with a 3.0 GPA and was selected to publish an article with Chicago Task Force.
Tiara Epps's NUF Said short video, Stereotypes of Young Black Men, was selected as one of the 10 finalists for a Youth Media Festival sponsored by the DC-based youth media group, Gandhi Brigade (www.gandhibrigade.org). (May 21)
Lynda Lopez and Tiara Epps will facilitate a Chain of Change media workshop at the Free Minds, Free People Conference in Rhode Island. In the workshop, 25 youth from across the country will produce a media piece to premiere at the August Youth Summit. (July 7-10)
