Youth Violence Puts School Safety in Jeopardy

Three weeks ago a Chicago high school honor student, Derrion Albert, was beaten to death on the way back home from classes. Since that horrific incident, Obama Administration officials have described the murder as a call to action to address school violence. Meanwhile, school administrators in Washington, D.C., have also been facing problems with school-related violence happening outside school grounds. Jesse Jackson and Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist Colbert King, of The Washington Post.
